Dean E. Nicholas, FSA, EA, MAAA

Dean Nicholas currently serves on the leadership team for WTW’s Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) solution, where he functions as project manager for its development. Prior to this, Dean was a lead retirement consultant and actuary in WTW’s Detroit office. He has over 12 years of experience consulting in the areas of post-retirement benefit plan valuations, design and administration. Dean also has extensive pension risk management experience having spent his career advising and guiding clients through numerous pension risk transfer actions including lump sum windows, annuity placements and plan terminations. Dean has a B.S. in statistics with a specialization in actuarial science from Michigan State University. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an enrolled actuary under ERISA and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Christian O’Keefe, ASA, EA, FCA
Senior Director, Retirement @WTW
Chris O’Keefe is a Lead Retirement Consultant and Actuary with responsibility for managing relationships with some of WTW’s largest clients in the Michigan and Northwest Ohio market. Additionally, Chris is part of WTW’s Plan Termination Group, helping clients with the preparation and execution of defined benefit plan terminations. He has over two decades of consulting experience, which includes serving as the valuation actuary for retirement and other post-employment benefit plans and assisting clients with the design, implementation and pricing of these plans. He also serves clients as a strategic advisor with regard to de-risking their retirement benefits through settlement actions. Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial sciences from the University of Michigan. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary with the Joint Board and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
